Team Work

We think we have a pretty great team here at CenterPoint; ordinary people pursuing the Jesus Life together to lead the church into the future

Our Team

David Butler, Lead Pastor

David began his ministry as Lead Pastor of CenterPoint Church on Sunday June 7, 2009.  Though his family roots are in Kentucky, his love for New England stretches back to 1985 after a visit to Boston, Mass.  From that moment on God gave him a heart for the people he has now come to serve.  David is passionate about reaching today’s culture with the life-transforming message of the Jesus Life.

Dave Spencer, Executive Pastor

Dave joined the CenterPoint leadership team in 2002, and has served as Youth Pastor, Co-Senior Pastor, and currently as Executive Pastor.  He is passionate about seeing people integrated into Life at CenterPoint as their relationship with Jesus becomes more and more the center of their lives.  Dave’s ministry focuses include discipleship, assimilation, small groups, young adults, and pastoral care.  In each area his desire is to model how Jesus can increasingly be the CenterPoint of life, master the study and presentation of God’s Word (a life-long pursuit), move the church toward vision & mission, and multiply leadership within the church.

Ryan Bengtson, Youth Director

Ryan leads a talented and committed group of adults who love and support teenagers at CenterPoint and throughout the Concord region.  He enjoys spending time getting to know students through weekly programs, special events and connecting with them outside of the church building.   Ryan’s desire is to continue developing a ministry that helps young people open their lives to the transforming power of God’s presence and love.  Ultimately he hopes to see more and more young people of the Capital area become passionate in their love for Jesus showing itself in a revolutionary love for all people!

Brian Earp, Worship & Communications Director

Brian left a corporate career in 2007 to join the CenterPoint team and never looked back.  He helps design Sunday services, leads the worship arts ministry, and takes care of technology and communications.  While he loves to express worship to God through music, he also believes that worship can and must be expressed in all aspects of life, in both creative and ordinary ways.  Brian seeks to provide opportunities for others in the church to share their own creative gifts, and to help facilitate an atmosphere where sincere worship can take place.

Debi Holt, Administrative & Ministries Coordinator

Debi has ministered on the CenterPoint staff since 1991, working with the Pastors to oversee and coordinate various ministries.  She also supervises the production of our weekly bulletin, keeps track of scheduling the facility for events, coordinates membership activities, and administers financial assistance to those in need.  Debi’s personal ministry involvement has been in leading and training leaders for the Grace for the Wounded Life Group. It is here that she’s been able to use her gifts and experience to connect with and encourage others facing difficult life issues.

Cindy Spencer, KidZone Director

As KidZone Director Cindy focuses on growing our elementary kids in three essential areas:   to learn to make the wise choice, to know that they can trust God no matter what, and to treat others the way that they want to be treated.  Cindy’s KidZone responsibilities include caring and building into the lives of all of our children from birth through grade five.  Cindy is passionate about people and considers it a privilege to have a gifted team that oversees the specific areas of the KidZone Ministry. She provides direction and support as this team strives to provide safe, welcoming care for all of our kids.

Grace Taylor, Operations Coordinator

Being a “multi-tasker” is an important part of who Grace is.  She is responsible for the business aspects of CenterPoint, makes sure the facilities are kept in good order and ready for ministry activities, and schedules the athletic fields.  Grace also works with volunteer teams who assist in landscaping and the Resource Center as well as supervising our maintenance and cleaning staff.  Grace is familiar with every nook and cranny in our 200-year old building.
