Why Pray

On August 15, 2010, in Featured, News, Worship, by centerpo

Does it really matter if I pray?  Over time our confidence in prayer can be eroded.  Unbelief settles in and prayer becomes an uphill struggle. That confidence needs to be restored. Being gripped with a sense of security, faith and a willingness to risk has everything to do whether or not we believe we can do life with God.  Prayer is what makes that vital connection possible.  It’s time to get past the guilt we feel for not praying and experience the power of God’s eager response.

X-treme Devotion

On July 10, 2010, in News, Worship, by centerpo

Are you up for a challenge? Extreme sports have been invented by people who are tired of living bland, risk‐free, high‐comfort lives. Such activities cannot be approached casually. They require extreme discipline, abandonment, and a sense of urgency. Escaping a luke‐warm spiritual life requires going to the outer limits of extreme devotion to Christ. This is a comprehensive life demand. Take the challenge this summer and see for yourself through this powerful text message from Colossians.  Join us for this series beginning Sunday July 11 and running with x-treme intensity through August 15.
