What if you spent 40 days on what is claimed to be the highest peak in the Bible? That’s our simple idea and challenge for you beginning Monday, February 27, and ending Good Friday, April 6. Forty readings from the vantage point of Romans 8 where you will be able to see the GR8 life God has in mind for you. There isn’t a better place to find a fuller understanding of all we have in Christ.

Sign up and register for this Missional Living opportunity! We’ll join hundreds of others for this chance to support World Vision Aids caretakers in Africa.
The event will include a brief program and time to pack backpacks full of supplies that will help the caretakers as they travel throughout rural areas of Africa to bring help to those suffering from Aids.
In addition to those who will pack the kits, we are also looking for volunteers to help with setup on Saturday, March 31; greeters as people arrive; a packing support team to refill the tables of supplies; a lunch serving team (as lunch will be served for those coming from further distances); a cleanup crew to put everything away at the end of the day.
We are asking each person who volunteers to donate at least $30 per adult ($10 per ms/hs) student to help cover the cost of the supplies for one backpack. Please also consider whether you and/or your family could give over and above the $30 minimum donation. 5 packs will give a caregiver a year of supplies. Could you donate enough to cover 1 year of supplies ($150)?
Visit the information booth in The Commons on Sunday to see the volunteer opportunities and get a reminder card. You can also take some information to bring to your co-workers, friends, family and neighbors.
Does God really have great things in mind for my life? 2012 is the year to find out. This series will introduce you to 8 words from one of the most famous chapters in the Bible, Romans 8. No matter what your outlook on life is now, these words provide an approach to living that will take you to where all of us want to go, the summit of real greatness. Join us and together we will “Seek the Peak.”

Hello CenterPoint family,
I hope each of you have decided to participate in some way in the Ten Days to Pray that began today. During these 10 days we’re encouraging everyone to set aside some dedicated time to pray beyond what you normally do. Along with this we’re asking you to consider a “fast” of some kind, expressing your hunger and desire to experience God in a new and fresh way. This may be a first for some of you. That’s why we’ve created a guide explaining fasting, as well as a prayer guide for the Ten Days to Pray. If you haven’t already, please read through these carefully, as they provide information that will be of great help to you. You can find them here and here.
One additional challenge is to write out at least one bold prayer representing your deepest longing, concern, dream, or fear. In the words of Mark Batterson, “draw a circle” around each and commit to pray persistently for what’s in that circle for the next 10 days. If you’re in a Community Group, you may want to partner with others and pray together.
Thank you for your response. Given what we experienced last night during the Night of Worship, I believe these could be some amazing days. See you Sunday.
Blessings,
David
